Union: Russia’s gold output rises 11% to 268.6 tns in Jan–Sep

MOSCOW, Dec 2 (PRIME) -- Russia’s gold production rose by 10.92% on the year to 268.638 tonnes in January–September, the Union of Gold Producers of Russia said in a report on Monday.

Mined gold production increased 9.6% on the year to 213.518 tonnes and by-product gold production rose 11.1% to 12.99 tonnes, while gold scrap production grew 13.2% to 28.417 tonnes, and gold concentrate production increased 30% to 13.713 tones.

The union expects that Russia’s gold production will increase 6.1% to 350 tonnes in 2019.
